Fees
This is a mixed-billing service.
Children up to 16 are bulk-billed as well as people on a pension and health care card holders.
Other consultations, like review of blood and imaging results, may also be bulk-billed at the Practitioner’s discretion.
All other patients attending Health & Wellbeing North Ward are billed at the following rates for many of which a Medicare rebate applies:
• Psychotherapy, Dietetics, Exercise Physiology and other Allied Health consultations attract a Medicare rebate only when part of a careplan. Ask our staff for details.
• Employment and other medicals are paid in full. They cannot be charged to Medicare.
• Skin surgery is normally bulkbilled although some procedures may attract a setting up fee of $20.00.
• MoleMate analysis of skin lesions with printing of report is $10.00 per mole, with a maximum of $60.00 for a full-body scan.
• Scripts (when you do not see a Doctor) are charged at $5.00.
• Payment is required at the time of consultation. For your convenience, we accept cash, cheques, credit cards (VISA and MasterCard) and EFTPOS.
• Multiple services incur additional charges.
• Cancellation fees of $30.00 are applied for appointments cancelled too late or missed appointments.
Laser Quit Smoking Treatment
The popular laser treatment to help quit smoking is now available at Health & Wellbeing North Ward.
A full treatment includes 2 sessions with Dr. Imran Khurshid who will apply the therapy and 2 counseling support sessions with Psychotherapist Mrs. Velda S Morisco.
The total price of the treatment is $470.00. Although there is a Medicare refund this is only aorund $50.00 for this treatment.
