In February 2017, Health & Wellbeing North Ward had many changes, reverting to a simpler management structure was one of them. Our Practice Development Team is made up of the Principals and the Practice Manager. They get together on a monthly basis to overlook the running of the practice and planning for its future development.

Michael’s career in Medical Practice Management spans more than 20 years with a keen focus on finance and the introduction and implementation of new and exciting workplace practices.
As a Certified Practice Manager, he is committed to ongoing education and aims to provide the best support possible to our Principals, Clinicians and Administration staff which then flows onto our patients.
A vital part of our management team, Michael has been with us since our doors opened in 2007. Prior to that, he had been managing multiple medical centres across Townsville and Regional Queensland. His responsibilities cover Human Resources, Compliance, Finance, Accreditation and Quality Assurance, as well as Stakeholder and Community engagement.
When not glued to his desk, Michael enjoys getting outdoors and spending time with his wife and two beautiful daughters. Weekends are busy between camping trips, tea parties and ballet lessons, but being a master of time management, he is still able to make time for the local University Hawks AFC and the Port Adelaide AFL fixture.
Having completed his Certificate IV in Fitness in March 2014, Michael is also a Qualified Personal Trainer. All aspects of preventive and proactive health and wellbeing continue to be of interest, alongside the day to day responsibilities of managing a Medical Practice.
