Michael Trigg (CPMAAPM)
Dip.PM, Cert.IV in Fitness
Michael’s career in Medical Practice Management spans more than 20 years.
As a Certified Practice Manager, he is committed to ongoing education and aims to provide the best support possible to our Clinicians and Administration staff. He is part of the Mentoring Program for the Australian Association of Practice Managers and regularly provides support to Practice Managers who are new to General Practice.
Michael has been with us since our doors opened in 2007. Prior to that, he had been managing multiple medical centres across Townsville and Regional Queensland. His responsibilities cover Human Resources, Compliance, Finance, Accreditation and Quality Assurance, as well as Stakeholder and Community engagement.
When not at his desk, Michael enjoys getting outdoors and spending time with his wife and two amazing daughters. As it always is with a young family, weekends are busy, but still manages to make time for the local University Hawks AFC and catch most of the Port Adelaide AFL fixture.
Having completed his Certificate IV in Fitness in March 2014, Michael is also a Qualified Personal Trainer. All aspects of preventive and proactive health and wellbeing continue to be of interest, alongside the day to day responsibilities of managing a busy Medical Practice.

Assistant Practice Manager
David joined us late 2018 and comes with experience in Aged Care, hospital and primary care environments. After completing his Cert III in Aged Care, he worked within the Townsville Health Service District as an Assistant in Nursing, before joining the Team at Health & Wellbeing North Ward. He has particular interests in Mental Health and Health Promotion. He’s married with two young boys and when not working, you will find him enjoying quality time with his beautiful young family.
Debbie joined the Team in 2014, bringing with her many years of experience from within the health industry including Specialists, Psychologists as well as General Practice.
We are extremely privileged to have Deb, she leads by example in everything she does and throughly enjoys being part fo such a dedicated and dynamic Team. She loves getting amongst it, and troubleshooting and looking for better ways to do things to make the experience of visiting your Doctor flow as smoothly as possible. She finds her role at the front desk extremely rewarding, and along with our other Administration staff, is vital to the effectiveness and efficiencies of the systems that go on behind the scenes.
Weekends are spent enjoying family and friends. Passions at the moment are indoor plants, interior decorating and journaling.
Tia’s career as a medical receptionist began in 2013, she has worked at a number of clinics around Townsville where she has gained invaluable experience.
She joined the team at Health and Wellbeing North Ward in 2015 as a Casual Receptionist and is now one of our Permanent Full Time Team Members.
She has recently completed her Certificate IV in Medical Administration. When not at work, or studying, she enjoys spending time with her fiance and 3 cats and dancing with one of the local dance troupes.
May commenced in early 2016 assisting behind the scenes in different areas of the practice.
She’s now on the frontline working at reception and thoroughly enjoying it. Having recently completed the Lean White belt training to get a better understanding of how health care employees can streamline workflow to improve efficiency in the workplace, she is finding plenty of opportunities to put it into practice.
In her free time, she is part of Movimiento Cuban Dance School in Townsville and loves studying different types of dance and art.

Completing her Cert III in Business Administration in 2003, Kate has worked in the medical field since 2005 with 13 years experience in a pathology environment.
Originally from Tasmania, Kate spent 6 years living overseas and then moved to Townsville in 1998.
Kate joined us at the beginning of 2019 and enjoys working with the wonderful team at Health and Wellbeing.
Kate is married with one young son. When not at work, Kate loves gardening, reading and spending time with her family, cats and dogs.
Kristine joins the Administration team with more than 20 years experience within the healthcare system, the last 6 in medical reception.
